NDC is a 24-hour community-based residential mental health crisis and substance abuse detox facility. Its mission is to offer therapeutic interventions for those in crisis situations as a viable alternative to expensive hospitalization, and to safely detoxify substance abusers so they may be placed into appropriate aftercare treatment. NDC is designed for those who need short-term (one to eight days) intensive evaluation, treatment intervention or behavioral management in order to stabilize acute or crisis situations. The program is under 24-hour medical supervision
All patients entering NDC are assessed by a registered nurse to determine the best course of treatment. They meet with a case manager who immediately goes to work developing an after-care program that provides the resources needed for the patient to re-enter community life. While in treatment, patients attend individual and group therapy while their physical and mental condition is monitored by registered nurses and psychiatrists.
Mental health and medical professionals, community agencies and health service organizations tell us they refer to NDC for these reasons:
- Our licensed staff is one of the most highly skilled and credentialed in the industry. It includes registered nurses, licensed therapists and highly-trained para-professionals.
- Client safety, responsiveness to treatment and condition is closely monitored.
- We respond quickly to referrals, evaluating and placing adults into appropriate treatment options.
- Our interventions are designed to help clients improve their level of functioning so they may successfully return to their communities.
- We offer integrated services for people with both mental illness and substance abuse disorders.
- NDC was prestigiously awarded a three-year accreditation by The Council of Accreditation for Rehabilitation Facilities (CARF). Throughout the rigorous accreditation review, clinical programming received consistent praise and no areas were identified for improvement.
